Loyalty Kiosks Frequently Asked Questions
1. What type of tablet/kiosk should the business get?
A. We recommend a basic 10″ tablet from Target, Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy or other basic retailer. You can normally buy one for about $100. You don’t need to buy a expensive iPad or other tablet than could cost hundreds of dollars. All the tablet needs is a browser (Chrome, Firefox) and be wifi compatible. You really won’t be able to use the tablet for anything else once the locking software is installed. The more pre-installed apps and features the tablet comes with the more likely the system will be slower with the other unnecessary programs running in the background or the unnecessary apps updating in the background.
There are still some businesses that don’t want to deal with getting their own Kiosks and setting them up. We will purchase and setup the Kiosk for you and ship it to you with a tablet stand for $200.
2. What extra features are available on the Virtual Loyalty Cards that aren’t available on the Loyalty Kiosks?
A. The following features are available on the Cards but not the Kiosks:
- The ability to share cards with friends and earn points when they register
- The ability to offer different levels of rewards for visits/points earned
- The ability to offer multiple points per visit (unless you don’t put a time limit on visits)
- The ability to set times for “double points” (example: Double Points on Tuesdays from 4-7)
- The ability to collect more information like name, birthday, address, city and add password protection
- The ability to “Add To Home Screen” to keep business name in front of customer
3. Do we offer other Kiosk software services?
A. Yes. We offer Scratch Off Ticket Kiosks, Spin To Win Kiosks and General Contest Kiosks at www.ContestKiosk.com. You can use these services to build your customer database list.
4. Can it track anything besides visits?
A. Yes. You can use it to track anything you want. The customer, or the business, just needs to enter the phone number after the customer/visitor has completed the event required to earn a “point”. It could be for visiting the business, taking a text drive, touring a model home, spending more than a certain amount with the business or anything else you can think of.
